Storage: Store at -20℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist (IL-1RA) also known as IL1RN is a member of the interleukin 1 cytokine family. This protein inhibits the activities of interleukin 1, alpha (IL1A) and interleukin 1, beta (IL1B), and modulates a variety of interleukin 1 related immune and inflammatory responses. A polymorphism of this protein is reported to be associated with increased risk of osteoporotic fractures and gastric cancer.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Recombinant Human IL1RN at 10 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Recombinant Human IL1R2 with a linear range of 0.4-1.8 μg/mL.
