Description: Recombinant Human LEU3/CD4 Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Lys26-Trp390) of human sCD4 (Accession #NP_000607.1) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.

Background: This protein is a membrane glycoprotein of T lymphocytes that interacts with major histocompatibility complex class II antigenes and is also a receptor for the human immunodeficiency virus. This protein is expressed not only in T lymphocytes, but also in B cells, macrophages, and granulocytes. It is also expressed in specific regions of the brain. The protein functions to initiate or augment the early phase of T-cell activation, and may function as an important mediator of indirect neuronal damage in infectious and immune-mediated diseases of the central nervous system.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human CD4 Protein at 1μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind CD4 Rabbit mAb with a linear range of 0.006-0.18 ng/mL.
