Description: Recombinant Human MIC-B Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala23-Gly298) of human MICB (Accession #NP_005922.2) fused with an Fc, 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Alternate Names: MICB, PERB11.2
SWISS: Q29980
GeneID: 4277
Species: Human
Purity: ≥ 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE; ≥95 % as determined by HPLC.
Storage: Store at -20℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: This protein is a heavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type II receptor. Binding of the ligand activates the cytolytic response of natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 alphabeta T cells, and gammadelta T cells which express the receptor. This protein is stress-induced and is similar to MHC class I molecules; however, it does not associate with beta-2-microglobulin or bind peptides. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
