Description: Recombinant Human VEGF-B Protein is produced by Mammalian expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Pro22-Ala207) of human VEGFB (Accession #P49765) fused with a human IgG1 Fc tag at the N-terminus.
Alternate Names: VEGFB, VEGFL, VRF, VEGF-B
SWISS: P49765
GeneID: 7423
Species: Human
Purity: ≥ 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store at -20℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: This protein is a member of the PDGF (platelet-derived growth factor)/VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor) family. The VEGF family members regulate the formation of blood vessels and are involved in endothelial cell physiology. This member is a ligand for VEGFR-1 (vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1) and NRP-1 (neuropilin-1). Studies in mice showed that this gene was co-expressed with nuclear-encoded mitochondrial genes and the encoded protein specifically controlled endothelial uptake of fatty acids. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
