Background: Could be a guanine-nucleotide releasing factor. Plays a role in ciliogenesis. Probably regulates cilia formation by regulating actin stress filaments and cell contractility. Plays an important role in photoreceptor integrity. May play a critical role in spermatogenesis and in intraflagellar transport processes (By similarity). May be involved in microtubule organization and regulation of transport in primary cilia.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse ascites by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Specificity: RPGR polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of RPGR protein.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 113 kD
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of extracts of Rat testis, using RPGR antibody at 1:500 dilution., Western blot analysis of extracts of Mouse brain, using RPGR antibody at 1:500 dilution.
