Background: SAM68 is recruited and tyrosine phosphorylated by several receptor systems, and once it is phosphorylated, it functions as an adapter protein in signal transduction cascades by binding to SH2 and SH3 domain-containing proteins.It represses CBP-dependent transcriptional activation apparently by competing with other nuclear factors for binding to CBP. It also acts as a putative regulator of mRNA stability and/or translation rates and mediates mRNA nuclear export.

Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

Specificity: Sam 68 (Y145) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Sam 68 protein.
