Contributes to the rapid decrease of cytoplasmic Ca(2+ levels back to baseline after neuronal activation, and thereby contributes to modμlate synaptic plasticity, learning and memory. Plays a role in regμlating urinary Ca(2+ and Na(+ excretion.
