Applications of Stampwell U
Compatible assays:
Cell aggregation (spheroids & organoids)
3D cell culture
Once formed, spheroids or organoids can be assayed in situ (i.e. immunostaining, growth assays) or recovered for downstream assays (individual picking or bulk analysis). For optimal imaging of 3D structures, transfer them into our dedicated Stampwell V-shape.
Plate compatibility:
The stamp has a total diameter of 26 mm. It can be used in:
35 mm circular petri dishes with an aperture of at least 22 mm
any larger vessel (i.e. 6-well plates)
Cell types:
So far, Stampwell has been successfully used to make multiple spheroids with HEK, HeLa, U-87 & U2-OS cell lines.
Results
Multiple spheroid formation in Stampwell U-shape microwells
U-bottom microwells were molded in agarose 2% using Stampwell. HeLa (left), HEK-293T (middle) or U-87 cells (right) were loaded at 850, 2800 or 1000 cells per well respectively and cultured in DMEM + 10% FBS. Phase-contrast pictures were taken after 2 (D2) or 3 (D3) days as indicated.
