Background: Regμlator of protein degradation that mediates the proteasomal targeting of misfolded, mislocalized or accumμlated proteins. Acts by binding polyubiquitin chains of target proteins via its UBA domain and by interacting with subunits of the proteasome via its ubiquitin-like domain.
