Background: Necessary for the fragmentation of Golgi stacks during mitosis and for their reassembly after mitosis. Involved in the formation of the transitional endoplasmic reticulum (tER). The transfer of membranes from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus occurs via 50-70 nm transition vesicles which derive from part-rough, part-smooth transitional elements of the endoplasmic reticulum (tER).
Purification and Purity: Affinity Purified
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: IgG
Bioworld Molecular Weight: Calculated MW: 89 kDa; Observed MW: 89 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Immunocytochemistry analysis of VCP in A549 using VCP antibody, and DAPI., Western blot analysis of VCP in MCF-7, C6, 3T3 lysates using VCP antibody., Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded Human tonsil using VCP antibody. High-pressure and temperature Sodium Citrate pH 6.0 was used for antigen retrieval.
