Background: Yellow fever virus is a flavivirus that causes the disease yellow fever. The virus is found in tropical South America and sub-Saharan Africa, and is maintained in a primate-mosquito transmission cycle. The disease varies from a febrile illness to a lethal haemorrhagic fever. There is no antiviral treatment but there is a very effective live attenuated vaccine, strain 17D.
Product: Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Yellow fever virus E protein ectodomain polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of YFV-E protein.
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Immunogen: Recombinant protein of YFV-E.
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Unmodified
