Description: Recombinant Human Alkaline phosphatase (Intestinal type)/ALPI Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Val20-Thr502) of Human Alkaline phosphatase (Intestinal type)/ALPI (Accession #NP_001622.2) fused with His tag at the C-terminus.
Alternate Names: ALPI, Intestinal-type alkaline phosphatase, IAP, Intestinal alkaline phosphatase, EC:3.1.3.1
SWISS: P09923
GeneID: 248
Species: Human
Purity: ≥ 90 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store at -20℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: Recombinant Human Alkaline phosphatase (Intestinal type)/ALPI Protein encodes for intestinal phosphatase alkaline, a brush border metalloenzyme that hydrolyses phosphate from the lipid A moiety of lipopolysaccharides and thereby drastically reduces Toll-like receptor 4 agonist activity. ALPI mutations impaired either stability or catalytic activity of ALPI and rendered it unable to detoxify lipopolysaccharide-dependent signalling. ALPI mutations should be included in screening for monogenic causes of inflammatory bowel diseases and lay the groundwork for ALPI-based treatments in intestinal inflammatory disorders.
