Description: Recombinant Human IL-4R alpha/CD124 Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Gly24-His232) of human IL4R/CD124 (Accession #NP_000409.1) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Alternate Names: IL4R, CD124, IL-4RA, IL4RA
SWISS: P24394
GeneID: 3566
Species: Human
Purity: ≥ 85 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store at -20 ℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: This protein is alpha chain of the interleukin-4 receptor, a type I transmembrane protein that can bind interleukin 4 and interleukin 13 to regulate IgE production. The encoded protein also can bind interleukin 4 to promote differentiation of Th2 cells. A soluble form of the encoded protein can be produced by proteolysis of the membrane-bound protein, and this soluble form can inhibit IL4-mediated cell proliferation and IL5 upregulation by T-cells.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized recombinant human IL4R at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind recombinant human IL4. The ED50 of recombinant human IL4R is 2-4 ng/mL.
