Description: Recombinant Human R-spondin-2/RSPO2 Protein is produced by Mammalian expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala32-Gly205) of human R-spondin-2 (Accession #Q6UXX9) fused with hFc tag at the C-terminus.

Background: R-spondins are secretory proteins localized in the endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi bodies and are processed through the secretory pathway. The RSPO family comprises four proteins, i.e., R-spondin 1-4, which are important secreted regulators of the Wnt/å°¾-catenin and Wnt/PCP signaling pathway and govern various functions and are involved in vital cellular processes such as stem cell renewal, morphogenesis and, tumorigenesis. Among the R-spondin family, R-spondin-2, is a key protein that regulates ligand-dependent å°¾-catenin signaling. And it has been reported to play a pivotal role in myogenesis, osteoblast differentiation, and limb specification during embryonic development.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its ability to induce Topflash reporter activity in HEK293T human embryonic kidney cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.72-2.88 ng/mL in the presence of 5 ng/mL Recombinant Mouse Wnt-3a,corresponding to a specific activity of 3.47×10^5 ~1.39×10^6 units/mg.
