Description: Recombinant Human Tyrosine-protein kinase receptor UFO/Axl Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Glu33-Pro449) of human Axl (Accession #NP_001690.2) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.

Background: The protein is a member of the Tyro3-Axl-Mer (TAM) receptor tyrosine kinase subfamily. The encoded protein possesses an extracellular domain which is composed of two immunoglobulin-like motifs at the N-terminal, followed by two fibronectin type-III motifs. It transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to the vitamin K-dependent protein growth arrest-specific 6 (Gas6). This gene may be involved in several cellular functions including growth, migration, aggregation and anti-inflammation in multiple cell types. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants of this gene.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Human AXL at 2 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Human Gas6 with a linear range of 1.22-5.49 ng/mL.
