Description: Recombinant Recombinant Rat ALK-1/ACVRL1 Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Lys21-Ala118) of Rat ALK-1/ACVRL1 (Accession #NP_071886.1) fused with a hFc tag at the C-terminus.

Background: ALK-1/ACVRL1,Type I receptor for TGF-beta family ligands BMP9/GDF2 and BMP10 and important regulator of normal blood vessel development. On ligand binding, forms a receptor complex consisting of two type II and two type I transmembrane serine/threonine kinases. Type II receptors phosphorylate and activate type I receptors which autophosphorylate, then bind and activate SMAD transcriptional regulators. May bind activin as well.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Rat ALK-1(Catalog #RP01925) at 4 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Human ACVR2B (Catalog #RP00153) with a linear range of 20-989.42 ng/mL.
