Description: Recombinant Rat B7-H1/PD-L1/CD274 Protein is produced by HEK293 cells expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ala18-Thr238) of rat B7-H1/PD-L1/CD274 (Accession #NP_001178883.1) fused with a 6×His tag at the C-terminus.
Alternate Names: Pdcd1lg1, RGD1566211, CD274
SWISS: D4AE25
GeneID: 499342
Species: Rat
Purity: ≥ 95 % as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage: Store at -20 ℃. Store the lyophilized protein at -20℃ to -80 ℃ up to 1 year from the date of receipt. After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20℃ for 3 months, at 2-8℃ for up to 1 week.
Background: This protein is an immune inhibitory receptor ligand that is expressed by hematopoietic and non-hematopoietic cells, such as T cells and B cells and various types of tumor cells. The protein is a type I transmembrane protein that has immunoglobulin V-like and C-like domains. Interaction of this ligand with its receptor inhibits T-cell activation and cytokine production. During infection or inflammation of normal tissue, this interaction is important for preventing autoimmunity by maintaining homeostasis of the immune response. In tumor microenvironments, this interaction provides an immune escape for tumor cells through cytotoxic T-cell inactivation.
Bio-Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized Rat PD-L1 (Catalog: RP01568) at 10 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind Biotinylated Rat PD-1 with a linear range of 0.0195-2.16 μg/mL.
