Human Parainfluenza Viruses are a group of four viruses belonging to the Paramyxoviridae family and they can cause severe respiratory infections in immune suppressed people.
For the different native antigens, Parainfluenza Virus Type 1 (strain Sendai) BA1261VS, Parainfluenza Virus Type 2 (strain Greer) BA1262VS and Parainfluenza Virus Type 3 (strain C 243) BA1263VS are cultivated in cell culture (Vero or MDCK cells) and purified by extraction in combination with ultra-centrifugation (Parainfluenza Virus Type 2) or chromatography (Parainfluenza Viruses Type 1 and 3).
All antigens are suitable for the detection of IgG and IgA antibodies against Parainfluenza.
