Background: B cell maturation protein (BCMA) is a type III membrane protein which belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily (TNFRSF17). BCMA contains one extracellular cysteine rich domain, as well as TACI. Human BCMA is a 184 amino acid (aa) protein consisting of a 54 aa extracellular domain, a 23 aa transmembrane domain, and a 107 aa intracellular domain. Mouse and human BCMA share 62% amino acid identity. BCMA is mainly expressed in immune organs and mature B cell lines. BCMA appears to be localized to the Golgi compartment. BCMA may play an important role in B cell development, function and regulation.
Sequence: Met1-Ala54
Purity: > 90 % as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of PBS, pH 7.4.
Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution: Please refer to the printed manual for detailed information.
Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW: 34.6 kDa
Observed MW: 38-45 kDa
Storage: Generally, lyophilized proteins are stable for up to 12 months when stored at -20 to -80℃. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-8℃ for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20℃ for 3 months.
Shipping: This product is provided as lyophilized powder which is shipped with ice packs.
