Background: Fatty Acid-Binding Protein 7 (FABP7) is a cytoplasm protein that belongs to the Fatty-acid Binding Protein (FABP) family of calycin superfamily. Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small; highly conserved; cytoplasmic proteins that bind long-chain fatty acids. FABP7 is predominately expressed in brain and neural tissues. FABP7 is involved in fatty acid uptake and intracellular transport and is important in brain development. FABP7 plays a critical role in the transport of a so far unknown hydrophobic ligand with potential morphogenic activity during CNS development. FABP7 is required for the establishment of the radial glial fiber system in developing brain; a system that is necessary for the migration of immature neurons to establish cortical layers.
Sequence: Val2-Ala132
Purity: > 95 % as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20mM PB, 150mM NaCl, pH 7.4.
Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution: Please refer to the printed manual for detailed information.
Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW: 17.1 kDa
Observed MW: 16 kDa
Storage: Generally, lyophilized proteins are stable for up to 12 months when stored at -20 to -80℃. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-8℃ for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20℃ for 3 months.
Shipping: This product is provided as lyophilized powder which is shipped with ice packs.
