Background: Human tissue kallikrein (KLK1) is a serine protease, component of the KKS that has been demonstrated to exert pleiotropic beneficial effects in protection from tissue injury through its antiinflammatory, antiapoptotic, antifibrotic and antioxidative actions.Polymorphism of the human tissue kallikrein 1 (KLK1) A1789G gene is associated with susceptibility to hypertension.
Activity: Measured by its ability to cleave a flourogenic peptide substrate Pro-Phe-Arg-7-amido-4-methylcoumarin (PFR-AMC). The specific activity is > 1, 500 pmoles/min/μg. (Activation description: The proenzyme needs to be activated by Thermolysin for an activated form)
Sequence: Met 1-Ser 262
Purity: > 95 % as determined by reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from sterile PBS, pH 7.4
Normally 5 % - 8 % trehalose, mannitol and 0.01% Tween80 are added as protectants before lyophilization.
Please refer to the specific buffer information in the printed manual.
Reconstitution: Please refer to the printed manual for detailed information.
Endotoxin: < 1.0 EU per μg of the protein as determined by the LAL method.
Calculated MW: 28 kDa
Observed MW: 50 kDa
Storage: Generally, lyophilized proteins are stable for up to 12 months when stored at -20 to -80℃. Reconstituted protein solution can be stored at 4-8℃ for 2-7 days. Aliquots of reconstituted samples are stable at < -20℃ for 3 months.
Shipping: This product is provided as lyophilized powder which is shipped with ice packs.
