Background: Protein phosphatase 5 (PP5) is a member of the serine/threonine phosphatase family that also includes PP1, PP2A and PP2B. PP5 uniquely contains an amino-terminal regulatory domain with three tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) motifs and a carboxy-terminal catalytic domain . Through the TPR domain, PP5 interacts with a number of proteins and has been reported to be involved in diverse signal transduction pathways, including glucocorticoid receptor signaling, p53-mediated growth arrest, oxidative stress-mediated apoptosis and the response to ionizing radiation-induced DNA damage.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of PP5 protein.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of PP5 expression in Hela (A), Jurkat (B), 293T (C), A431 (D), MCF7 (E) whole cell lysates.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 58 kDa
