Background: aldolase, fructose-bisphosphate C(ALDOC) Homo sapiens This gene encodes a member of the class I fructose-biphosphate aldolase gene family. Expressed specifically in the hippocampus and Purkinje cells of the brain, the encoded protein is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible aldol cleavage of fructose-1,6-biphosphate and fructose 1-phosphate to dihydroxyacetone phosphate and either glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate or glyceraldehyde, respectively. Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Aldolase C Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of Aldolase C protein.
Extra Notes: Immunohistochemistry analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon carcinoma tissue, using ALDOC Antibody. The picture on the right is blocked with the synthesized peptide.
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Name: ALDOC; ALDC; Fructose-bisphosphate aldolase C; Brain-type aldolase
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human ALDOC. AA range:61-110
