Background: Annexin family members have been implicated as regulators of such diverse processes as ion flux, endocytosis, exocytosis and cellular adhesion. Annexin III, also known as ANXA3, Annexin A3, Lipocortin III, PAP-III (placental anticoagulant protein III), 35-α calcimedin or ANX3, belongs to the Annexin family and contains four Annexin repeats. Annexin III exhibits a variety of functions, including anti-coagulent properties, an inhibitory role towards phospholipase A2 (PLA2) and an enzymatic function, cleaving the cyclic bond of inositol 1,2-cyclic phosphate to produce inositol 1-phosphate.
Product: Rabbit IgG, 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide, 50% glycerol, pH7.2
Purification and Purity: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Specificity: Annexin III (Y64) polyclonal antibody detects endogenous levels of Annexin III protein.
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Extra Notes: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) analyzes of Annexin III (Y64) pAb in paraffin-embedded human breast carcinoma tissue at 1:100.
