Background: This gene encodes a tetrameric mitochondrial flavoprotein, which is a member of the acylCoA dehydrogenase family. This enzyme catalyzes the initial step of the mitochondrial fatty
acid beta-oxidation pathway. Mutations in this gene have been associated with short-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (SCAD) deficiency. Alternative splicing results in two variants which
encode different isoforms.
Purification and Purity: The antibody was purified by immunogen affinity chromatography.
Storage and Stability: Store at 4°C short term. Aliquot and store at -20°C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Specificity: Recognizes endogenous levels of ACADS protein.
Extra Notes: Western blot analysis of ACADS expression in mouse liver (A), NIH3T3 (B), Jurkat (C) whole cell lysates.
Bioworld Molecular Weight: ~ 43 kDa
Note: For research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedure.
Alternative Name: Short-chain specific acyl-CoA dehydrogenase mitochondrial; SCAD; Butyryl-CoA dehydrogenase
Immunogen: A synthetic peptide of human ACADS
Conjugate: Unconjugated
Modification: Unmodified
