Microscopy Adapter for OMEGA Series Devices
Given the relatively large size and shallow taper angles of many oil immersion objectives, we recommend imaging the OMEGA device using the low-profile microscopy adapter. The low-profile adapter provides adequate clearance for the objective, properly stabilizes the device for imaging, and adapts to nearly all microscope stages using the footprint of a standard glass slide (75 x 25 mm).
The adapter uses magnets to “sandwich” the OMEGA device between the magnetic top and the base, thereby stabilizing it for imaging. Simply place the OMEGA device into the central opening of the base then align and place the magnetic top onto the pins. Place the entire assembly into a standard glass slide microscope stage adapter.
